PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Achieving Reunification Center (ARC), a non-profit entity, has served parents or legal caregivers with children placed in an out of home placement through the Department of Human Services since 2005. The vision of Achieving Reunification Center (ARC) is that all families with children in out-of-home placement have resources and support provided to them to achieve timely reunification.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Reunification Support Coach (RSC) partners with parents and caregivers to guide them in moving toward reunification and family stability utilizing a parent centered coaching model. The RSC will work to enroll and support an assigned caseload of parents/caregivers through scheduled virtual or in person meetings monthly, as well as monthly check-ins and other parent interactions as needed to foster the Coach/Parent relationship. Serving as an advocate, the RSC supports parents/caregivers in the reunification process, fostering collaborative efforts with the assigned CUA team and other ARC service providers to establish relationships conducive to successful reunification. The RSC assumes responsibility for partnering with parents/caregivers to develop goal plans with specific outcomes that move the parent forward towards reunification, as well as promote increased individual and family stability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate parent engagement through email, text and telephone to engage parent/caregiver in ARC.
Use motivational interviewing as a counseling technique to enhance the desire around behavior change.
Integrate principles of high expectations and ability to adopt unbiased approach when working with parents.
Build and maintain relationships with parents enrolled in ARC through a minimum of two scheduled in person and/or virtual meetings to participate in goal setting, planning and monitoring.
Understand impact of executive functioning on parent capacity regarding goal setting and ability to maintain an effective working relationship.
Has access to and/or ability to develop network of resources to support parent to address reunification barriers;
Prepare written reports and submit to the assigned CUA team to provide updates on parent/caregiver participation level and experience at ARC.
Provide parent/caregiver and assigned CUA team with written evidence of successful participation in ARC services, i.e. letters of service completion, certificate of service completion to be shared during Family Court hearings.
Work collaboratively with assigned CUA as needed to address parent/caregiver needs and concerns.
Conduct visits to assigned Community Umbrella Agencies at least once per month to support parents and case conference with CUA case managers.
Provide engagement and solicitation around ARC services to the public at Philadelphia Family Court and community events in an effort to increase awareness about ARC and enroll eligible parents in services.
Maintain accurate and timely record of parent communication and documentation in the ARC database, Penelope
Maintain client documentation in individual's electronic ARC folder.
Actively participate in ARC professional development opportunities to increase skills in partnering with parents/caregivers.
Work collaboratively with members of the ARC Team and ARC contractors as needed to support parent/caregivers needs and concerns.
Complete parent referrals for services and resources.
Review and update goal plans as needed to reflect ongoing parent/caregiver needs and progress.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field required.
A minimum of three years of case management or similar experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly organized with ability to effectively manage time and respond to deadlines.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Experience in motivational interviewing preferred.
Knowledge of the child welfare system is preferred.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including typing, writing and presentation
Ability to travel to alternative worksite locations (CUA, Family Court, community location)

Management and Coaching
Collaborate with the Literacy team to onboard, train, and support the AmeriCorps tutor cohort as they start their year of service
Facilitate training sessions, support curriculum practice, and build community amongst tutors through team leadership and teambuilding activities
Support tutor integration into partner schools by helping them make connections with school staff, learn school norms and policies, and build relationships with students
Model and co-teach lessons and provide instructional coaching to ensure effective curriculum implementation and student growth
Conduct regular check-ins with tutors to discuss general management items, including compliance with attendance policies, timesheet completion, data management, and general performance
Create a supportive and collaborative environment to allow for feedback and support for tutor professional development
Manage and monitor student data systems related to student tutoring dosage and reading assessment data
School Partnerships
Build deep relationships with school administrators (e.g. principals, reading specialists) that support short- and long-term student outcomes and align tutoring efforts with school goals

Meet weekly with school partners to review data, progress-monitor student caseloads, and adjust tutoring as needed
Organizational Leadership and Collaboration
Collaborate with the Literacy Team to strengthen management, coaching, training, and partnership systems
Conduct AmeriCorps tutor interviews and support recruitment efforts
Host school visits from foundations, corporations, and community members interested in Joyful Readers
Collaborate with development staff on grant reporting and communications
Ensure compliance with AmeriCorps and organizational policies
Support planning for special events such as our MLK Jr. Day of Service, Early Literacy Convening for school administrators, and Young Reader of the Year Awards

Position Qualifications
A passion for ensuring students can read on grade level

Position Summary
Coach-Mentors serve as the heart of PYB's summer programming. This position supports the Lace Up and Learn Up (LULU) Summer Camp Series, a full-day youth development initiative for boys and girls entering grades 3-8. The camp integrates basketball skill development, academic enrichment, mentorship, and healthy meals. Coach-Mentors work alongside Head Coaches to deliver a positive, safe, and growth-oriented camp experience.
II. Core Work Scope & Responsibilities
Our Coach-Mentors work closely with our Head Coaches to establish positive adult-youth relationships and ensure that participants have an enjoyable learning experience at camp.
Reinforce the themes and tone of the Head Coach-Mentor throughout the duration of the camp experience.
Conduct the basketball drilling stations, academic power hour, referee, and coach game play to make sure that participants are fully engaged, focused, learning on and off the court, and having fun.
Coach middle school-aged boys and girls through a variety of basketball skill-development exercises and stations, and in some instances, develop your assigned skill-building station
Embed the PYB Way Culture into every aspect of the camp experience
Hold young people accountable for their words, actions, and behavior

This position will include wages of $15-20/hour commensurate with experience for up to 35-40 hours/week for 8 weeks beginning the end of June of 2025. Camp begins June 23 and runs through August 15, 2024. This is a seasonal position.

Position Summary
Penn Charter seeks an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach and Physical Education Teacher to join our athletics and Physical Education departments. Certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA), or the National High School Strength and Conditioning Association (HSSCC)
Minimum of 2 years experience with development and management of strength and conditioning programs at the high school or college/university level
Must have reliable transportation
Motor Vehicle Operator's License to drive Penn Charter vehicles.
Schedules and work hours are established in conjunction with the Director of Athletics and Physical Education Department Chair and are designed to meet the needs of the students, the program, and the school
In coordination with the other Strength & Conditioning Coaches, must be available mornings, evenings, weekends and school breaks as needed

The Position
