Assists the Head Coach on a volunteer basis in the following areas as directed: Day-to-day operations Recruitment Equipment inventory management Practice preparation Game day preparation Academic accountability Community service Intentional Christian faith integration Provide spiritual guidance, prayer, and support for the team Perform other duties as assigned Other Duties and Responsibilities Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed and not necessarily mentioned in this description, will be expected. Commitment to the University's faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith. Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff. The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings Working Conditions: General sport environment Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks Meeting with student-athletes as directed Travel to competition and recruitment as needed Fair Labor Standards Act: This position is considered to be volunteer. Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or in process) Playing or coaching experience in the sport Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University
