If there is any question concerning the seriousness of the injury, the athlete should receive medical attention as soon as possible. It is the coach's responsibility to notify the parents and let them assume responsibility as soon as possible.
a) Accident Reports. The coach is responsible for completing an Accident Report Form immediately and forwarding it to the school nurse.
b) First Aid Kit. Each coach is responsible for having a First Aid Kit available at all contests and practices both home and away. Emergency information should be included in the First Aid Kit.

Under the minimal supervision of the ILS Program Manager, you as a Coach, will manage a caseload of several clients assigned to you by supporting, encouraging, teaching and working with each client individually. Some examples of what you might assist/support/teach are functional life skills such as: advocacy, basic cooking, how maintain a home, management of medical appointments and/or medications, how to access or utilize local community/government resources and how to access/utilize the local public transportation system.
This is a part-time position that has the possibility of going to Full-time. After training and learning the position with only a couple clients assigned, it could then move to full-time with a full case load. The schedule would generally be Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm; but can vary depending on the clients' availability/needs. This may require but is not limited to, working early mornings, late evenings, or Saturdays.
In this this position, you are given the general liberty to make your own daily and weekly schedules based on understanding the clients monthly hourly needs and by working with the client's availability and their desired days and times that work best for them. You will be responsible for taking and documenting daily service/case notes and writing quarterly progress reports for the individuals assigned to you. 90% of your the time will be spent in the field working with clients and the other 10% will be administrative work, such as writing reports, documentation, emails, etc. As part of this position, you will also be required to attend monthly training meetings at your closest SYW's branch office and communicate regularly with both your ILS Program Manager and your client's RC service coordinators.
As part of the position, you must be willing to drive your own vehicle from client-to-client's homes when working/meeting with them. The mile radius that you will be required to drive can vary based on the area and where the clients live. Since this position will require you to use your own vehicle and at times transport the client, YOU MUST HAVE- a reliable and safe vehicle, a valid Driver's license, car insurance, and vehicle registration is current.

* Manages and classes, clincs, and camps to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship.
* Uses a variety of instructional techniques to meet the needs and improve the abilities of players.
* Assists with the planning of, and implements the program's instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall development of players.
* Works with other coaches toward a common goal within the program.
* Establishes performance criteria to evaluate players athletic abilities initially and on a regular basis.
* Determines program strategy based on the participants capabilities.
* Encourages sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic activity at all times.
* Takes all necessary precautions to protect players, equipment, and facilities, including protecting students from hazing/bullying.
* Maintains and secures all equipment and supplies.
* Oversees process of cleaning, repairing, and storing all athletic equipment.
* Organizes seasonal schedule for upcoming seasons with Lead Coach.

REASONING ABILITY:
