Job Description
Preparation & Practice Time:
Up to 2 hours per week preparing for Projects, competitions, and after school practices.
Fall Semester Practices: 4 hours a week total
Long-term coaching during “Projects”: Meet with students Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 hour each day, from August to June.
Continue practices after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 hour each day.
Build Season (January - April): 8 hours a week total
Long-term coaching during “Projects”: Meet with students Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 hour each day, from August to June.
On average at least 6 hours of practice outside of school hours weekly, working directly with students to prepare for competition. Practices will continue into after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and additional practice hours are required on other days of the week, in line with the after-school schedule at the school.
Spring (April-June): 2 hours a week total
During Projects, wrap up the competition year, inventory and order new materials, prepare student leaders for the following year, and begin recruitment of new team members
Competitions: 2-3 weekends per school year
Register for and participate in on off-season competition.
Register for and participate in at least one regional/district competition.
Family Communication
Because of the significant time required for after-school practices, school-based Enrichment Program Managers and coaches identify team members and confirm commitment via signed parent permission form indicating after-school commitment
In partnership with the school-based Enrichment Program Manager, establish a family communication protocol using the Remind app to update families about competition, after school practices, and any other time outside of school that students will be doing club-related activities.

Compensation

As an assistant Coach you are directly responsible to the Head Football Coach and the Director of Athletics. Enforce discipline and always encourage sportsmanship like behavior. These standards are those set down by the Principal and Athletic Department.
Attend all Athletic Department and EHS meetings that deal directly with the sport coached. Including MIAA, GBL, Coaches Associations and Athletic Awards meetings. Stay informed of rule changes, trends, and recommendations that affect their sport.
Give personal support to the entire EHS staff, including school principal, school assistant principals and teachers.
Establish avenues of communication with other adults to identify potential resources for the enhancement of EHS athletics.
Directly supervise team members at home and away contests.
Assists in the distribution and collection of all uniforms and equipment. Coaches are responsible for equipment not returned by his/her team members at the designated time.
Performs all other duties as the head coach and or athletic director may deem to be in the best interest of the sport, pupil, and school.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous football coaching experience is desirable.
Previous experience in either high school, college or both is desirable.
Knowledge of football and its rules, and ability to instruct players in all facets of the sport.

* Coordinate with Athletic Trainer for any athlete injuries and return to play
* Ride bus to and from away contests - possibly drive school van
* Communicate schedule and any announcements with families via weekly email update
* Assist with any scheduling changes and communication of them to players/families
* Keep attendance daily
* Communicate any issues with AD
Post-Season:
* Set up time with Equipment Manager to collect uniforms in full - lead this process
* Have students complete Athletic Dept survey
* Let Administrative Assistant know if any student did not return any uniform or equipment
* Confirm final roster and wellness credit eligibility
* Have end of season meeting with head coach
* Have closeout meetings with each student
* Make recommendations to AD on equipment needs for following year

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced speech or debate coach to guide a rookie team at
(school name) on our students' paths to and through college, nationally recognized
competitive programs provide an edge for college admissions, but also for college
persistence. The coach will be responsible for all aspects of competition, including
identifying tournaments, registration, securing judges, tryouts, motivating and preparing
students, and keeping school leaders informed of progress. The coaching role is part-
time and will report to the Enrichment Program Manager.
Preparation and Practice Time: Up to 6 hours a week
● Up to 2 hours per week preparing for Projects, competitions, and after school practices.
● Long-term coaching during “Projects”: Meet with students Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1
hour each day, from August to June.
● On average at least 6 hours of practice outside of school hours weekly, working directly
with students to prepare for competition
● Internal employees who also serve as coaches are responsible for the preparation and
communication about any absences caused by team tournaments during their standard
work hours
Competitions: at least 6 weekend tournaments over a 6-month period
● Research and identify appropriate competitions and tournaments.
● Sign up for competitions, in partnership with the school-based Enrichment Program
Manager.
● Coach and travel with students to at least all competitions
● At least one competition should be nationally recognized (for example, National Speech
& Debate Association). These competitions should have regional/district qualifiers that
can lead to competing on the national scale.
● Chaperone students to at least 2 regional/local competitions that take place ahead of the
national competition and can serve as preparation
Family Communication
● Because of the significant time required for after-school practices, school-based
Enrichment Program Managers and coaches identify team members and confirm
commitment via signed parent permission form indicating after-school commitment
● In partnership with the school-based Enrichment Program Manager, establish a family
communication protocol using the Remind app to update families about competition,
after school practices, and any other time outside of school that students will be doing
club-related activities.
