Position Overview As an Individual & Team Sports Coach, you will lead gym activities during an hour-long program that focuses on fitness and fun. Activities may include kickball, football, basketball, and tag-based games. Your role is to create a positive and encouraging environment while guiding children through active, skill-building exercises that foster teamwork and physical development. Key Responsibilities • Lead children in a variety of gym activities, including kickball, football, basketball, and tag-based games. • Ensure that each activity is engaging, fun, and promotes physical fitness. • Create a safe, supportive environment that encourages participation and teamwork. • Foster the development of motor skills, coordination, and social skills in young participants. • Set up and clean up before and after each session, ensuring all equipment is properly stored. • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during activities. • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding participant progress and activities. Work Schedule This position requires part-time availability during daytime hours, depending on the program schedule. Program Dates: June 9 th -12 th : 10:30am-1:30pm July 14 th -17 th : 12:30pm-3:30pm August 11 th -14 th : 4:30pm-7:30pm Qualifications • Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old. • Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to engage and motivate children. • Experience: Previous experience working with youth is preferred. • Knowledge: A basic understanding of sports and fitness activities.
