About the Role:

Lastly, Row New York offers summer camps and a fee-for-service rowing program for New York City independent high schools. Our programs are offered at two rowing sites: Upper Manhattan and Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
Position Summary:
The Manhattan Assistant Coach helps run the activities of high school student-athletes at RNY's Manhattan program site under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Head Coach. The Assistant Coach supports the coaching of a team of student-athletes in both on and off water program activities after school and on Saturday mornings during the school year. In the summer, practices are held early on weekday mornings. The Manhattan Youth Program is co-ed.
A strong candidate has at least three years of rowing experience (high school, club, or collegiate), has coached rowing for at least one year, is comfortable driving an outboard launch without supervision, and has experience working with diverse populations. The candidate will be inspired by and capable of developing the potential of every rower. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coach and Senior Coaches in building a positive and supportive boathouse culture that promotes youth development and performance on and off the water
Help to ensure all aspects of rowing safety (on-water and within/around the boathouse)
Teach rowers technique, competition, and teamwork
Assist with timely collection and tracking of all participant data as needed
Assist with minor equipment repairs, rigging, and general boathouse maintenance responsibilities
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of rowing experience (high school, club or collegiate) and a demonstrated passion for the sport
At least 1 year of experience coaching rowing (youth or collegiate rowing); experience coaching sculling is a plus
At least a Level 1 USRowing Coaching Certification preferred
Experience driving an outboard motor launch on an active waterway without supervision; New York State Safe Boating License preferred
Availability to work evenings and Saturday mornings as well as some holidays
Understanding of positive youth development principles

In order to be eligible for the position, candidates must be available to work the following scheduled work hours: September - June: Monday - Friday from 3:45 - 7:15 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM; July - August: Monday - Friday from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Priority will be given to those who are able to work each program day.
Assistant coaches must become certified in First Aid/CPR, SafeSport, New York State safe boating and the ability to drive an outboard coaching launch. As of January 2025, all coaches must maintain at least a Level 1 USR Coaching Certification. Fees and time spent completing required certifications are paid by Row New York.

Duties:
Provide individual and group golf lessons to players of varying ages and skill levels
Develop personalized training programs to improve players' skills and techniques
Organize and oversee practice sessions to enhance players' performance
Analyze players' swings and provide feedback for improvement
Plan and coordinate golf tournaments, events, and outings
Maintain equipment and ensure the practice facilities are in top condition
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience in coaching or playing golf competitively
Strong knowledge of golf techniques, rules, and etiquette
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with players of all ages and skill levels
Certification in golf coaching or related fields is a plus

The Head Coach of our prestigious youth basketball program, with over 60 years of rich history in Harlem, will lead and inspire young athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the court. This role encompasses the development of a comprehensive coaching strategy that integrates high-level basketball training with a strong emphasis on academic enrichment, personal growth, and community involvement. The Head Coach will be a passionate leader dedicated to fostering a positive team culture and empowering players to become well-rounded individuals.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Program Leadership: Develop and implement a cohesive vision for the basketball program that aligns with its mission of academic enrichment and community engagement. Provide strategic direction for all coaching activities and team initiatives.
Coaching & Training: Plan and lead effective practices that enhance players' basketball skills, teamwork, and game strategy. Prepare the team for competitive play while instilling a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
Academic Integration: Collaborate with Basketball Director and Academic Coordinator to ensure that players prioritize their education. Develop programs and initiatives that support academic achievement, including tutoring sessions, study halls, and college readiness workshops and college visits.

Education and Experience Requirements:
