Fill out accident form for all injuries. Keep communications open between yourself, your team, coaching staff and A.D. Be consistent in enforcing any rules that you have made for your team. Be on time for all trips and remain at school until all players have left after away trips. Be familiar with and enforce all bus rules. Inform AD. in advance of any change of plans, practice schedules, bus departures, etc. Maintain communication with assistant coaches and lower level coaches. Call in results of contests to local media. Attend or make sure your representative attends the IHSA rules meeting. Attend seeding meetings for tournaments. Promptly fill out any forms provided by the IHSA or AHHS pertaining to your sport. Present and collect all student-parent agreements to your players. Be sure all players have a contest and practice schedule. Turn in all completed inventory at the end of the season after all equipment has been collected. Turn in a requisition for equipment needed for the next season. Turn in the names of all letter winners and special awards to the AD. immediately at the end of the season. Attend award program, introduce assistant coaches, and present awards. Communicate with the A.D. in regards to the following year's schedule. The head coach may advise, suggest and request particular contests, but the final decision rests with the A.D. Always have a medical kit and ice available at all practices and contests. Be sure locker rooms are left neat at all home and away practices and contests. Develop and distribute a copy of rules and policies pertaining to your sport at the pre-season meeting.
