You will provide individualized coaching to members of the program, offering support, warm linkages to other services in our community, offer encouragement, motivation, education, and hospitality. The Recovery Coaches work alongside other members of our Recovery Support Service team to run the daily operations of the Clubhouse, provide support to our members and patrons of the Clubhouse, supervise and lead daily activities and programming, and provide general clerical support. This includes answering phones, checking-in members, giving directions, making coffee and preparing meals. This position requires completion of a Peer Recovery Support Specialist training, approved by the Nevada Certification Board. Applicants must hold a PRSS-I or CPRSS credential through the Nevada Certification Board. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Recovery Community Organizations, Recovery Cafe, and Clubhouse International models and how they differ from clinical treatment. The Foundation for Recovery serves as Nevada's statewide recovery community organization (RCO); the largest peer-run nonprofit advocating for and supporting people and families impacted by addiction and overdose in Nevada. We were founded in the early 2000s by a dedicated group of people and family members in recovery who saw an urgent need to address critical gaps in support and empower a constituency of people recovering from addiction to advocate for change by putting a face and voice on this movement. Our Founders envisioned a place where people in new and long-term recovery could congregate, find unwavering allyship in each other, and access a loving community focused on helping individuals sustain recovery beyond treatment and incarceration. The Clubhouse is the manifestation of this vision. The first of its kind in Nevada, the Clubhouse brings together comprehensive community-based services and supports, including respite and housing, that move beyond treatment and symptom reduction to account for all of a person's holistic needs to sustain recovery after clinical interventions. We call this "recovery sustainment services". The Clubhouse is an intentional community where members and staff work together, side-by-side, to carry out all daily operations. Members are given access to individualized peer-based support, employment training and placement, relationship building, education, housing, and daily meals. The Clubhouse is a social space for the local recovery community where the individuals we serve are members, not clients. Minimum Qualifications Ability to work a 12-8 p.m. weekly evening schedule and 10-6 on Saturdays.
