Primary Purpose: The Math Instructional Coach reports directly to the Dean of instruction (direct supervisor) and forms part of the support provided by the Math department to the teacher. The Math Instructional Coach is responsible for ensuring quality instruction is being delivered at their assigned campuses, following the ILTexas curriculum and program model. They support teachers in the design and implementation of quality lessons. An effective Math Instructional Coach will spend the majority of their time on classroom coaching with teachers (planning, demonstration, observation, co-teaching and study of lessons) while also supporting related professional development and data to action plans. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: · Deliver pre-designed workouts to groups of 25 clients· Energize and motivate clients throughout rowing sessions· Build Row House class attendance and retain current clientele through your existing network· Teach proper rowing technique to ensure clients have a safe and positive experience · Attend staff meetings and required educational presentations, including, but not limited to Row House University or any required continuing education· Handle member concerns when applicable· Assist sales associates and General Manager with studio tour and sales as needed · Set up rowers and explain class format for prospects and new clients· Maintain strong social media presence to increase class following Qualifications: · This is primarily a weekend position. You must be able to coach on weekends - Saturday and Sunday - primarily in the am. Work with Head Coach to schedule competitions and plan season activities including practices, special events, and tournaments. Coordinate with transportation department for travel arrangements to out-of-town events. Supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student athletes in the sport assigned. Maintain a highly competitive program Ensure compliance with all UIL rules. Monitor and enforce student eligibility criteria for extracurricular participation. Accompany and supervise student athletes during athletic competitions in assigned sports both at-home and on out-of-town trips. Instruct and advise students on NCAA regulations regarding academic requirements for scholarships and recruiting practices. Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers; ensure that all interactions are supportive, courteous, and respectful. Effectively implement the discipline-management procedures approved by the campus; interact with students in an equitable manner, including the fair application of rules. Apply and enforce student discipline during athletic contests, practice sessions, and while on trips off school property in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook. Encourage, by example and through instruction, sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation. Assist in selection of equipment and instructional materials. Oversee process of cleaning, repairing, and storing all campus athletic equipment and maintain a current inventory of all equipment and fixed assets within program. Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures. Establish and maintain professional communication with parents, students, and District personnel. Continually learn and build personal and professional capacity. Maintain a supportive, positive, courteous, respectful and professional attitude regarding all aspects of the job responsibilities, administration, and District/campus goals.
