Our sessions are 1 hour each week and run for 5 to 6 weeks in a row. Consistency is key-ideally, we prefer coaches who can commit to the same sessions each week to help kids build a connection and feel comfortable with their coach.     Adult League Official- Volleyball Referee (Part time/Seasonal) Details * Part Time (Part-time/Temporary/Seasonal Status), Non-Exempt * Starts at $26.00-$28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications * Reports to Recreation Supervisor- Athletics * Located at Eden Prairie High School, Central Middle School, Eden Prairie Community Center and Riley Lake Park (during sand volleyball season) * 3-12 hours per week, evenings as early as 5:45 pm to as late as 10:30 pm. League play occurs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays. Responsibilities The Adult League Official - Volleyball Referee officiates for adult recreation sports league games. The primary position responsibilities and areas of impact are: * Provides quality, safe, and enjoyable leisure opportunities for all participants. * Demonstrates, facilitates, and enforces local league rules and regulations. * Promotes fair play, good sportsmanship, and a fun and safe environment for all league participants, players and the general public. * While these areas are the primary focus of this position, we believe strongly in teamwork and employees will be called upon to perform a variety of duties as a part of their role with the City. Ability to work at least 4 hours in succession in a standing position. * Matches are played indoors or outdoors depending on the season; may require working in adverse weather conditions during the outdoor season. * Prior volleyball officiating experience preferred. Ability to officiate adults at the AA, A or Gold levels preferred. Extensive knowledge and understanding of USA Volleyball rules, terminology, and hand signals preferred. CPR and First Aid certifications preferred. * Candidates must successfully complete and pass the City's evaluation of the pre-employment process prior to their first day of employment. Pre-employment processes for this position includes professional reference checks, background check, work verification and education verification if applicable.
