Your general responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Personal Accounts will not be used to participate in the Rideshare program
Safely transport passengers from one location to another in accordance with Service Club training and customer service policies and procedures.
Provide a pleasant experience for passengers, respond to their requests, and adapt to their preferences.
Assist passengers with loading and unloading the vehicle.
Ensure vehicle is clean, in good working order, and compliant with safety guidelines.
Use GPS and maps to find the best route to the destination.
Use the Rideshare phone application to accept ride requests and communicate with passengers and always remain online on the Rideshare Application during your shift.
Follow all applicable traffic laws, comply with all Rideshare and Hertz terms and conditions and code of conduct.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures and protect company assets.
Install the Netradyne dash cam device at the start of shift, always keep dash cam device on during the shift, and remove the dash cam device at end of shift.
Meet or exceed the minimum rides per hour. Rides cannot be cancelled once accepted.
Sign up for rideshare shifts in accordance with your designation and hour limits. Each shift available is for a five-hour consecutive block.
Retrieve and return vehicles in accordance with company practices.

SUMMARY:
Drive minibus or van to transport individuals receiving services, trainees, or company personnel by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct Pre and Post-Trip Inspections on Agency owned / leased vehicles in strict accordance with Agency policy. Document inspections and mileage (for each trip) and other reporting as required by the Agency and other regulatory requirements. Submit completed documentation to Transportation Coordinator and communicate any maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
Drive vehicle from individual or central loading area to community locations or other destination according to assigned schedule.
Assist passengers into and out of vehicle as more fully described in the Physical Demands section of the job description. Assess physical environment of all service locations, to include but not be limited to, 432 Washington Avenue, North Haven, community work sites, senior centers, recreational facilities and other community settings, vehicles used for transport of individuals, and sidewalks, walkways, corridors, parking lots and other pathways used while escorting individuals to/from Agency vehicles, to avoid potential hazards, including those that may occur in crowded conditions. Report safety hazards to immediate supervisor or to appropriate personnel.
Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip. Insure proper use of seat belts and other approved safety equipment for passengers.
Operate radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
Keep records of trips and behavior of passengers, via Program Incident Report.
Perform delivery of interoffice mail to various Agency locations, as assigned.
Clean off vehicles following instances of inclement weather. Assist with preparation of vehicles in anticipation of inclement weather.
Perform other duties as required or directed.

Salary:

CDL Positions:
Candidates with a current CDL will earn an additional $1 per hour for this position. Candidates without a CDL will be given 90 days to obtain their CDL, with training provided by INDOT, and will then earn an additional $1 per hour upon successfully obtaining their CDL.

A Day in the Life:
The essential elements of the job duties:
* Provide interactive and effective workplace safety and health training for all district employees for consistent application of INDOT's safety programs.
* Identify potential workplace safety and health hazards that may result in worker injury.
* Act as a safety consultant to provide worksite analysis on traffic control and all worksite activities that may result in worker injury or illness.
* Serve as a resource for individuals during the investigation of workplace safety-related incidents.
* Develop and maintain a district safety training calendar; vending and/or personal protective equipment needs, including special equipment; and other related tasks for the district safety office.
* Assist the District Safety Director with the development and implementation of new and/or updated worker safety and health programs.
* Assist in emergency response activities with other state agencies including but not limited to the Indiana State Police and Indiana Department of Homeland Security.

• Directs traffic, position barricades, and arrange for towing service when necessary. • Correctly uses all personal protective equipment at all times • Protects the safety of self, co-workers, and passengers at all times • Promptly reports any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor and/or appropriate department(s) • Transports, loads and unloads passengers, providing daily transportation services at designated pick-up and drop-off locations • Ensures the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment for unloading passengers with special needs (i.e• wheelchair lifts and tie-downs) • Helps passengers to load and unload luggage as needed • Inspects vehicles on a regular basis to find any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues; performs routine cleaning and bus maintenance activities - Meets patrons needing assistance to and from various airport locations and lots. - Inspects shuttle for preexisting damage record information using electronic device or manual ticket • Provides excellent customer service to guests; respond to guest inquiries in a courteous manner, give directions to nearest highway, destination, etc. • Reports safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor and appropriate department(s), following documented procedures • Follows all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in department-specific procedures or manuals • Maintains and enforces bus evacuation plan and coordinates bus evacuation activities as appropriate • Immediately reports any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead • Refuels and maintains shuttle equipment and maintains assigned fuel use logs • Always maintains a clean work environment, disinfecting shuttle after each use • Performs pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions, adherence to prescribed Department of Transportation standards, and compliance with proper safety standards
