Adheres to the NOCCCD's Athletics department policy and procedures and shall have team rules which must be approved by the Athletic Director prior to implementation or enforcement. Follows established procedures for the proper care, maintenance, and requisitioning of equipment, supplies, and uniforms. Maintains eligibility forms, emergency data cards, insurance records, equipment inventory, and other related records. Maintains accurate team records as required, which could include but not be limited to team lists, score books, statistics, etc.; Maintains, tracks inventory, and facilitates ordering all equipment needed for all phases of a designated sport program. Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities. Organizes and coordinates all phases of the assigned sports program including in-season, off-season, and summer. Coaches student athletes to perform sound, safe fundamental techniques of a designated sport throughout the season providing coaching feedback during competitions; Supervises student athletes during practices, at home and away games. Responsible to promote an atmosphere of compliance within the Program and to monitor the activities regarding compliance of all assistant coaches and other administrators involved with the Program who report directly or indirectly to Head Coach. Assists the Athletic Director with determining equipment needs, purchasing, and payment of equipment for the Sport(s) program(s). Responsible to follow all applicable local, State, Federal, District and CCCAA governing rules and regulations at all times during the term of this agreement. Provides Student Services, and Compliance support. Learn and apply emerging technologies and advances (e.g., computer software applications) as necessary to perform duties in an efficient, organized, and timely manner. Participates in District/College efforts to increase the diversity of faculty and staff and to address student achievement gaps; active assistance in the creation of a welcoming and inclusive work and educational environment; attend and participate in diversity, equity and inclusion trainings and events. Perform related duties and responsibilities that are consistent with their position related to student-athlete success and general athletic program operations as assigned from by the Athletics Director. Head Coach agrees to know, recognize, and comply in all respects with CCCAA and other Governing Athletics Rules and NOCCCD Rules. In the performance of all their duties and obligations under this Agreement, Head Coach will abide by and comply with all Governing Athletics Rules and NOCCCD Rules. Essential Functions Examples of essential functions are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Desirable Qualifications Two (2) years Head Coach experience. Experience with recruiting, retention, and development of Student-Athletes. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, and two (2) years of professional experience directly related to Head Coach OR an associate degree, with six years of professional experience directly related to Head Coach, OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
