PT Business Management
Build and maintain an active client base

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Substance Abuse Therapist to join our client's team. The Substance Abuse Therapist will play a crucial role in providing individual and group therapy to clients struggling with substance abuse and addiction. This position requires either a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) with a CASAC credential, or a Master of Social Work (MSW) with substance abuse experience.
*Responsibilities:*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance abuse history, mental health status, and treatment needs.
* Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting achievable goals and objectives for recovery.
* Provide evidence-based therapy modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to address substance abuse and related issues.
* Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on topics such as relapse prevention, coping skills development, and family dynamics in addiction.
* Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers, to coordinate care and ensure integrated treatment approaches.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards and agency policies.
* Monitor clients' progress throughout the course of treatment, adjusting interventions and goals as needed to support successful recovery outcomes.
* Provide education and support to clients' families and significant others, engaging them in the treatment process and addressing their concerns and needs.
* Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and developments in the field of substance abuse treatment, participating in ongoing training and professional development activities as required.
*Requirements:*
* Bachelor's Degree with a CASAC credential (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) *-OR-* Master of Social Work (MSW) with previous substance abuse experience.
* Experience working in the field of substance abuse treatment, including knowledge of addiction recovery principles, treatment modalities, and relapse prevention strategies.
* Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
