Harbor House of Central Florida, a well-respected non-profit organization that provides services to individuals affected by domestic violence in Central Florida, is seeking a Contract Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your own hours while providing high-quality therapeutic services. The therapist will work with individuals, families, and groups to provide counseling and therapeutic support for survivors dealing with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional challenges that may have resulted from domestic violence. Key Responsibilities: * Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions in a clinical setting. * Assess survivors' mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans. * Document treatment progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. * Collaborate with other mental health professionals and healthcare providers as needed. * Ensure compliance with ethical standards and state and federal regulations. * Offer crisis intervention when necessary. * Participate in case reviews and treatment planning meetings. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field. * Active Florida state license (LMSW, LMHC) required. * Current Professional Liability Insurance (Malpractice Insurance) is required. * Minimum of 1 year of experience in providing mental health therapy, preferably in a non-profit or community mental health setting. * Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and ethical guidelines. * Ability to work with diverse populations and address complex clinical issues. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Compassionate and survivor-focused approach to therapy. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families. * Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus.
