Description
We are looking for a Licensed Psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
In performing Disability Assessments, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal and perform a comprehensive assessment in person on each Veteran.
You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal.
The Licensed Psychologist DOES NOT make disability determinations. The U.S. Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations, in part using the findings recorded in the DBQs.
This role ONLY performs Disability Assessments on Veterans. You will NOT treat, and you will NOT prescribe medication in this position.
Licensed Psychologist will review and assess 4 Veterans per day on average.
Licensed Psychologist will be brought on as an Independent Contractor
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)
This is an IN-PERSON position.

These services are highly successful! For example, in 2019, Salt Lake County conducted a recidivism study on our CATS program and found a 76% reduction in new-charge bookings one-year post CATS, a 90% reduction two years post CATS, and a 99% reduction three years post CATS. Salt Lake County also found an 83% improvement in employment status and a 46% reduction in homelessness.

Responsibilities
* Individual Sessions: Conduct individual therapeutic sessions with students to address and explore their unique needs, challenges, and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

* Licensed or ability to be licensed in state of Utah
* Preferred -Two years of working experience as a licensed therapist leading individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
* Preferred - One year of experience in a residential setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
* Ability to plan, implement, and adjust a course of treatment as required.
* Ability to pass a state background check.
* A desire to facilitate client growth through a team approach, working with other care providers.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct intake evaluations including functional behavioral assessments and skills assessments
Design treatment plans of care
Supervise and monitor the progress of behavior technicians
Design positive behavioral treatment and skill acquisition plans with goals tailored to the individual
Supervise and train ABA technicians; implement, model and monitor progress of individualized behavior support and skill plans with ABA technicians
Provide caring support during family conversations to ensure parents fully understand assessment results and treatment recommendations
Graph data, adjust strategies as needed to ensure progress, and provide routine progress summaries
Job Requirements:
Valid BCBA Certificate
Experience working with Children and teens diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities
Vehicle required for travel between assignments, and valid driver's license.
