At COPA, the Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) plays an integral role serving patients at our friendly and welcoming medical clinic for children of all ages. A Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) helps improve recognition, treatment and management of psychosocial/behavioral problems and psychosocial aspects of medical conditions.

Provide brief follow-up, including relapse prevention and education, with self-management skills and educational information necessary for patients and families to be full participants in their own treatment and recovery.
Provide timely and succinct feedback to primary care physicians regarding consultation findings and recommendations. This may include both formal (in-services, consult responses, medical chart documentation) and informal (hallway conversations) communication.
Assist in coordinating referrals from primary care to specialized mental health services, and step-down referrals from specialized mental health services to be managed through the primary care clinic. This coordination of care may also include communication with schools, public agencies, social services, and other community partners as appropriate.
Work with the medical team to develop specific clinical and behavioral health pathways for targeted patient groups (asthma, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, obesity etc.).
Provide ongoing consultation services for a sub-set of patients who require ongoing monitoring and follow up (e.g., Collaborative Care Model).
Document all patient care in the proper systems and in a timely manner in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory agencies.
Familiarize self with COPA organizational structure, communications systems, billing process, and completes billing and coding documentation within time assigned.
Keep all licenses and appropriate certifications current and unrestricted.
Provide and maintain a safe environment for patients, families, healthcare members and guests.
Conduct all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, supporting the organization's integrity by acting in an ethical and appropriate manner, reporting known or suspected violations of applicable rules, and cooperating fully with all health system's investigations and proceedings.
Train and develop other staff in the behavioral health program.

Qualifications Education and Certification:
Required: Master's Degree in related field.

Required: Current unrestricted Oregon licensure in good standing as required for education. Ability to become credentialed with insurers (meets all attestation requirements).

Experience:
Preferred: Experience with pediatric medical populations and LCSW, LPC or LMFT post licensure experience.

Physical Requirements:
Use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level in person, over the telephone or through use of other required technology. Provide brief follow-up, including relapse prevention and education, with self-management skills and educational information necessary for patients and families to be full participants in their own treatment and recovery.
Provide timely and succinct feedback to primary care physicians regarding consultation findings and recommendations. This may include both formal (in-services, consult responses, medical chart documentation) and informal (hallway conversations) communication.
Assist in coordinating referrals from primary care to specialized mental health services, and step-down referrals from specialized mental health services to be managed through the primary care clinic. This coordination of care may also include communication with schools, public agencies, social services, and other community partners as appropriate.
Work with the medical team to develop specific clinical and behavioral health pathways for targeted patient groups (asthma, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, obesity etc.).
Provide ongoing consultation services for a sub-set of patients who require ongoing monitoring and follow up (e.g., Collaborative Care Model).
Document all patient care in the proper systems and in a timely manner in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory agencies.
Familiarize self with COPA organizational structure, communications systems, billing process, and completes billing and coding documentation within time assigned.
Keep all licenses and appropriate certifications current and unrestricted.
Provide and maintain a safe environment for patients, families, healthcare members and guests.
Conduct all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Qualifications Education and Certification:

Facilitate group therapy for clients and families
Provides meal support with clients
Participate in ongoing care management
Provides safe, empathetic, and affirming care for each client and their unique circumstance based on the clients' intersecting identities
Qualifications::
Master's degree, at minimum, in clinical counseling or related discipline.
Licensed (or license-eligible) preferred in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, etc.).
Prior experience treating those with eating disorders in a residential or inpatient setting is very helpful.
