Summary This position is primarily responsible for conducting psychosocial assessments and in-home Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address pre- and post-partum depression within Nurse-Family Partnership utilizing the Moving Beyond Depression framework. Nurse-Family Partnership is a program for first-time, low-income mothers. The therapist will work closely with the NFP program which is designed to improve prenatal, maternal health and childbirth outcomes and to improve child health and development and wellbeing of the child. Job Duties Employs counseling skills in order to help patient/families understand, accept and follow recommendations for care and to restore patient to optimum social and health adjustment. Facilitate In-Home-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy services to eligible participants for fifteen weekly sessions with a booster session one months after treatment has ended. Intervenes in crisis situations, and effectively applies crisis intervention theory techniques. Maintains adherence and fidelity to In-Home-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy manual and treatment model. Completes weekly data entry, clinical case notes, screenings, and fidelity checklists. Maintains open communication with the Nurse Home Educator to ensure the programs are working together to meet the needs of the mother and child Remain cognizant of current best practices Reports suspected cases of child and adult abuse/neglect/exploitation. Participates in on-going professional development Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Social Work or clinical counseling. 1 year experience working as a licensed clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor and 1 year experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and 1 year experience working with maternal depression. Therapeutic experience working with at-risk families and populations. Ability to adhere to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics. Knowledge of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA. Knowledge of psychological principles and theories. Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence, and empathy towards others. Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire Preferred Qualifications Strong scheduling and organizational skills. Ability to work independently.
