Responsibilities
- Fulfill customers' prescription needs while concentrating on the accuracy of every prescription filled
- Administer vaccines as needed
- Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers

Maintain liaison relationships with medical and nursing staff; provide timely information pertaining to pharmaceutical supplies, drug usage and compatibility, state and federal regulations regarding drug controls, and HFAP Standards.
Conduct and evaluate medication histories, assess compliance and suggest modifications so as to achieve desired outcomes.
Individualize medication regimens using sound principles, accounting for pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic variations in drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination with responsibility for establishing and continually improving the delivery of Pharmaceutical Care to patients within areas of direct responsibility and assisting others in the department with the same.

ESSENTIAL TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares and dispenses drug orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Interprets drug orders (verbal and written) and transcribes to computerized patient medication profiles accurately. Maintains accurate, complete pharmacy patient medication.
Compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals including sterile products, chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products accurately.
Ensures safe, appropriate, cost-effective drug therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.

What You Will Need:
Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or Pharm.D. Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio.

What You Will Do:
The Clinical Informatics Pharmacist (CIP) is an expert in human factors, patient safety, and the use of technology to optimize care delivery processes and effectively communicate patient care activity. The CIP specializes in the medication process, from ordering to administration, and is responsible for effective process design, development, and implementation of the Electronic Medical Record and Clinical Decision Support.
