We seek a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with the processing of prescriptions. Per Diem Pharmacists are classified as temporary employees and work on an intermittent basis.

This position will cover PTO in area of 9 sites in Missouri and if willing multiple sites in Kansas
Missouri locations: Independence, Lees Summit (3), St. Joseph (2), Kansas City (2), Raytown,
Possible Kansas locations: Kansas City, Shawnee, Topeka (2), Leavenworth, Olathe
Our pharmacies are Monday-Friday and will include an 8 hours shift between 8:00 - 5:30, with a 30 minutes lunch.
Primary Responsibilities:
Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
Provides information to customers about medications and their use
Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Required Qualifications:

The hourly range for this role is $43.17 to $84.95 per hour based on full-time employment.. + Adjusts dosages based on established protocols for each drug, ensuring that dosages are appropriate for the patient's condition and in light of other medications the patient is using and completes clinical tasks related to antimicrobial stewardship.
+ Educates patients on the proper use and expected effects of medications, especially when patients are using multiple medications, are beginning new regiments, or are being discharged.
+ Manages narcotics and inventory control and compliance, including regular documentation and completion of checklists. Audits outdated medication in states where Pharmacy Technicians are not permitted to do so.
+ Contacts Nurses and Physicians as necessary to verify orders and obtain additional information regarding the order.
+ Assists the Pharmacy Director in maintaining the pharmacy's accreditation and in implementing operational changes within the pharmacy, such as the use of new systems or adjustments of standard procedures.
