The Data Formatting Clerk, also titled Name List, is an important part of the team supporting high schools, colleges and other educational institutions (our customers). As a member of the Data Entry Team, you will be responsible for daily review of orders from customers and Herff Jones Independent Sales Partners (ISPs); these orders are delivered through our web-based portal.
Preparing orders with accurate information to prevent changes is a critically important function of this role, so attention to detail is crucial. Data entry is the first step of many in ensuring high-quality products are pushed out timely from our manufacturing environment to our customers.
This position requires a critical thinker with strong basic math skills. Accuracy, attention to order detail, advanced to intermediate level of experience within Excel, and the ability to type efficiently are all expectations of the role to enable the manufacturing plant to work efficiently and serve our customers.
What we want you to accomplish:
Review daily orders and prioritize the order entry process.
Gather and input student information into our manufacturing software, Oracle.
Verify and double check each order for order accuracy and completion of other numerical details.
Rate of accuracy at 95% or better after 2 weeks of training with full trainer audit.
Rate of accuracy at 99%+ after 4 weeks in the role.
Compare order details provided with the prepared package content before the product ships to our customer.
Success Indicators and Skills:

Recommends and implements procedures for the proper management of the filing system.
Maintains strict confidentiality of all information contained in the centralized files.
Maintains a centralized store of common office supplies utilized by the central location, including ordering, storing and distributing such supplies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of housing regulations and Agency policies, procedures and practices. Skill in operating computer equipment and general office machines. Bondable.
Experience with record management systems preferred. High School diploma or GED required.
Must be a resident of, or willing to relocate to Marion County within six (6) months of employment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Good knowledge of basic arithmetic.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to deal effectively with situations that require professionalism, tact and diplomacy in a work setting; and to establish and maintain effective and courteous relationships with other employees, residents and other business contacts.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Indiana Driver's License.
