Essential Duties and Responsibilities Utilizing building management software programs to manage maintenance work orders Creating work orders and reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff Delegating approved work orders to the correct maintenance technician for completion Shadowing the in-house maintenance staff to learn technical skills related to the industry such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc. and assisting as needed to complete these tasks Assisting with day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating tasks or completing maintenance needs based on Event work orders Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside contractors Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions Performing clerical duties Setting up appointments, scheduling meetings, distributing reports, and managing the correspondence between outside contractors/vendors and with other departments within the buildings Answering phone calls and calling customers and vendors to follow up on orders, appointments, and deliveries Compiling, maintaining, and updating maintenance-related records Operating office equipment including printers, copiers, fax machines and media instruments Fulfilling additional clerical tasks as assigned by a supervisor Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED is required Experience working in technical trades is preferred but not required Skills and Abilities Capable of interacting and effectively communicating with all levels of the organization Ability to thrive in a team environment Strong detail-orientation Able to solve problems independently Able to manage time effectively Ability to lift at least 50lbs Working Conditions This position is part-time, hourly, with extended hours as necessary. This position may be exposed to adverse conditions inside and outside of the facility, including inclement weather, noise, fumes, cold, etc. This position may have irregular work hours that may include nights, weekends, and holidays as required to cover events or to complete Building tasks.
