The Register of Wills acts as an agent for the PA Department of Revenue and collects all the Inheritance Tax payments and filings for Lancaster County.
This is a specialized position as an Assistant Inheritance Tax Clerk. Among other tasks, primary duties include processing Inheritance Tax returns, processing tax payments and preparing receipts for those payments, and transmitting tax documents and receipts to the Department of Revenue in Harrisburg.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist Inheritance Tax Clerk as needed
Process Inheritance Tax returns and payments

Make daily deposits to bank and Treasurer's Office
