THE ROLE
As the Maintenance Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance team, under the direction of the Safety & Facilities Manager, with day-to-day operations and maintenance of the ASM Global - Grand Rapids Complex. This role will require the employee to work a rotating schedule between Van Andel Arena and the DeVos Place Convention Center and Performance Hall. Utilizing building management software programs to manage maintenance work orders
Creating work orders and reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
Delegating approved work orders to the correct maintenance technician for completion
Shadowing the in-house maintenance staff to learn technical skills related to the industry such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc. and assisting as needed to complete these tasks
Assisting with day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating tasks or completing maintenance needs based on Event work orders
Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside contractors
Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
Performing clerical duties
Setting up appointments, scheduling meetings, distributing reports, and managing the correspondence between outside contractors/vendors and with other departments within the buildings
Answering phone calls and calling customers and vendors to follow up on orders, appointments, and deliveries
Compiling, maintaining, and updating maintenance-related records Operating office equipment including printers, copiers, fax machines and media instruments

THE ROLE
As the Maintenance Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance team, under the direction of the Safety & Facilities Manager, with day-to-day operations and maintenance of the ASM Global - Grand Rapids Complex. This role will require the employee to work a rotating schedule between Van Andel Arena and the DeVos Place Convention Center and Performance Hall. This is a part-time position with flexible working hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Utilizing building management software programs to manage maintenance work orders
Creating work orders and reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
Delegating approved work orders to the correct maintenance technician for completion
Shadowing the in-house maintenance staff to learn technical skills related to the industry such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc. and assisting as needed to complete these tasks
Assisting with day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating tasks or completing maintenance needs based on Event work orders
Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside contractors
Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
Performing clerical duties
Setting up appointments, scheduling meetings, distributing reports, and managing the correspondence between outside contractors/vendors and with other departments within the buildings
Answering phone calls and calling customers and vendors to follow up on orders, appointments, and deliveries
Compiling, maintaining, and updating maintenance-related records Operating office equipment including printers, copiers, fax machines and media instruments
Fulfilling additional clerical tasks as assigned by a supervisor
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED is required
Experience working in technical trades is preferred but not required

Working Conditions
This position is part-time, hourly, with extended hours as necessary. Job Purpose:

Assist guests with purchasing bike wristbands, RC car rentals, making bear appearances, signing up for laser tag and paintball for their upcoming stay. Being informative of the bear appearances that we offer.
Respond to any customer complaints to ensure that these are dealt with speedily and effectively.
Provide feedback to any relevant company departments about complaints and problems to try to ensure that these do not arise in the future.
Accurately process cash, credit, and gift card transactions using point of sale system
Take all necessary security precautions to ensure that cash and credit cards are held in a safe and secure manner.
Maintain accurate financial records of cash collected, carrying out regular balances of transactions and resolving any discrepancies.
Ensure store is clean, neat, organized, and well-stocked
Assist with merchandise inventory.
Sell and stock beer and wine (must be 18 old per state law).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
Computerized Vehicle Registration (CVR) process for new and used car purchases.
Prepares tax and title documents.

Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.

Conducts periodic training sessions for F&I managers and sales personnel regarding title regulations and procedures and issues a written memo to managers and all sales personnel whenever regulations change.
Directs title runner in daily routines.
Prepares invoices listing items sold and service provided, amounts due and credit terms.
Issues credit memorandums to indicate returned or incorrectly billed merchandise.
Prepares credit forms for customers or finance companies.
Posts transactions to accounting records such as worksheet, ledger, and computer files.
Accesses computer files and compiles reports as requested.
Other tasks as assigned.
