Sheriff's Records Clerk is a non-sworn class that provides administrative and clerical support in the Records Division of the Sheriff's department. Incumbents staff the division 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Sheriff's Records Clerk is distinguished from Office Assistant and other clerical classifications by the responsibility to work with criminal records, maintain CLETS security clearance and meet Sheriff's department background requirements. Education and Experience/ Licenses and Other Requirements High school diploma or General Education Development Credential(GED)plus two years of journey level clerical experience including one year requiring public contact/customer service. Valid California Driver's License.
