Inspect and ensure that the FBI lamp crusher is maintained in compliance with Alabama Department of Environmental Management regulations. * Collect, manage, package, and recycle all types of batteries in accordance with the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) 40 CFR 261 et seq. and the state Department of Environmental Management hazardous waste This includes properly dating, labeling, and inspecting battery collection locations throughout the FBI Facility. Collect, manage, package, and recycle or dispose of aerosol cans in accordance with the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) 40 CFR 261 et seq. and the State Department of Environmental Management hazardous waste regulations. * Maintain databases for Recyclable materials, Hazardous Materials and Hazardous Wastes for FBI facilities and construction activities. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Forklift trained and certified. * Active TS clearance required. * A minimum of one-year of related experience. * US DOT Hazardous Material Transportation * HAZWOPER forty hour trained as required in 29 CFR 120 to handle spills and management of hazardous waste and annual refresher preferred. * Trained to meet RCRA 40 CFR 16 requirements for large quantity generators. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Must be in good physical condition to regularly lift 50-pound containers, load trucks during waste collection, roll 55-gallon drums and handle then using a drum cart, pallet jack or forklift.
