ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensures Y facility and equipment is attractive, clean, and sanitary for member and staff use by wet and dust mopping, dusting, window washing, vacuuming, floor cleaning, trash removal, bathroom/fixture cleaning, seasonal activities related to snow removal, and general cleaning.
Completes all duties scheduled, replaces supplies when necessary, and maintains upkeep of custodial area and equipment.
Records, and reports all needed repairs as directed
Ensures YMCA building and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, or ladders to prepare facilities for special events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 18 years of age
Six months or more of related experience preferred.
Basic understanding of cleaning methods, equipment, products, and their safe, efficient use.
Completes YMCA required training upon hire
Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds
