About The Custodial Relief Program The Recreation and Park Department's Custodial Relief Program is a pool of on-call custodians who will temporarily fill in throughout the department's citywide facilities in cases of vacation, illness and other leaves. Employees in this program may work on average between 12 - 16 hours per week, and are expected to maintain availability from 4:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. for at least four (4) consecutive days in the week to meet the needs of the department. Your Role: * Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well * Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness * Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect bags, trash, and soiled linen. * Pickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry. * Deliver towels, cribs, cots and other items to the guest rooms on requests. * Perform duties of room attendant when necessary. * Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry. * Help the room attendants with the heavy lifting when super cleaning / spring cleaning of rooms. * Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures. * Remove soiled linen and trash from all service areas and take to appropriate locations in the prescribed manner. * Always respond in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other team members. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $20.50/Hr. - $20.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.

Type: Non-Management Responsibilities: • Clean public areas including lobbies, hallways, elevators and elevator landings in accordance with established quality and performance standards. • Clean and maintain public restrooms according to established standards. • Organize and stock cleaning cart and organize supply closets on floors assigned. • Complete accurately, and in a timely manner, any assigned paperwork. In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel. • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards. • Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests. • Assist other housekeeping employees in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas.
