JOB SUMMARY
A Barge Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the interior and exterior of barges, removing debris, cargo residue, and ensuring the vessel meets safety and cleanliness standards. Duties include using hand tools and equipment to clean tanks, decks, and compartments while adhering to safety regulations.

Regular attendance and punctuality are required of all employees.
NIGHT SHIFT - 5:00PM-5:00AM
Overtime and/or Weekend Availability required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strip product heels from an empty barge, strip bilges from boats or barges, pump heels to transfer vessels, designated by the shift supervisor.
Operate dock equipment, vacuum pumps, transfer pumps, compressors, blowers, meters, vapor control equipment, hoses etc. to accomplish barge cleaning duties.
Perform barge cleaning functions in compliance with quality assurance requirements specified in Quality & Environmental Manual and procedures.Duties:
Perform barge cleaning and dock operations, abiding by all safety rules and regulations
Test hoses, cargo tank fittings and perform any other duties associated with barge cleaning operations, and perform routine preventive maintenance on dock equipment.
Install blowers and blow dry compartments, install Butterworth cleaning nozzles and perform tank cleaning, and manually remove rust and solids from cargo tanks as required.
Perform duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Must have or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
Mandatory drug testing prior to employment and will be subject to random, unannounced drug and/or alcohol tests during employment.
Adequate experience in barge cleaning and equipment operations.
Be able to perform simple paperwork as required for filling out forms and logs.
Must be able to communicate and take directions from Foreman & Supervisor.
Able to work without contact lenses.
Required to arrive to work on time and also work overtime hours as required.
Understand general policies and procedures as described in the quality & environmental manuals.
Required to undergo a training program and participate in refresher training as needed.

The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.

Position Overview:
The Cleaning Technician is responsible for providing essential support to equipment operators and the lead hand in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of industrial cleaning equipment. Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks, including equipment preparation, maintenance assistance, operating process piping and fittings, load securement, rigging, and general support to maintain a smooth workflow.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Effectively communicate with team members, and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
Collaborate with the team to address and resolve operational challenges and technical issues.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clean and as free certifications, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Uphold and promote a culture of safety, ensuring that safety protocols and guidelines are rigorously adhered to by all team members.
Operate and maintain various industrial cleaning equipment, including pumps, diesel engines, and thermal fluid heaters.
Provide general support and assistance as needed to equipment operators and the lead hand to maintain operational efficiency
Filling a holding tank with water
Monitoring the pumping system
Moving cleaning device from 1 railcar to another (less than 50lbs)
Entering confined space to spot clean railcar
Complete basic equipment and tool maintenance, including basic repairs.
Ensure secure load handling for the safe transportation of equipment.
Adhere to stringent safety protocols and guidelines.
Operate equipment efficiently to meet project requirements.

SKILLS/SPECIFICATIONS:
Extensive knowledge of pumps, diesel engines, thermal fluid heaters, knuckle boom cranes, and heavy equipment.
Proficiency in secure load handling for transportation.
Compliance with Electronic Logbooks.
A strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
Effective communication skills.
Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy equipment.
Willingness to work in various environments and weather conditions.

Janitor
Must be detail-oriented, flexible and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. Will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room and public areas. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
Gather and empty trash.

Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.

Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water, using commercial cleaning equipment.
Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.
Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers, and clear debris from grounds.
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
