WHAT YOU WILL DO Performs all routine cleaning, servicing, and restocking of supplies in assigned building. Under the direction of the Custodial Manager and/or his/her designee, the custodian will be responsible for custodial operations including cleaning and maintenance of different buildings of the College's campus. The custodian will work with the custodial staff to effectively meet the physical needs of the College and support its overall mission like working in different buildings from time to time. Primary Responsibilities: * Perform general custodial duties like sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning of restrooms and restocking paper and soap products. * Removal of interior and exterior trash that is brought to on-campus dumpsters or compactors for disposal. * Perform detailed cleaning services, like carpet cleaning, window cleaning and stain removal. * Emergency response for water restoration issues that arise like floods and leaks. * Transportation of custodial and restoration equipment from building to building. * Perform routine maintenance to custodial supplies and equipment. * Report issues with the facility that are seen while performing your duties. * Custodians must wear a PPE (Personal Protect of equipment to do the job. example gloves, mask goggles if needed. * Perform minor repairs to the facility like shutting off a valve to stop a leak or repairing a flooring issue that is a trip hazard. * Ensures clean, neat and orderly work areas, cleans and maintains janitor closets and supplies to ensure compliance with safety regulations, occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Standards. * Assist with snow removal around building entrances. * Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable to fulfill obligations. * Special project as assigned. * Events , help with set-ups, monitoring trash and restrooms during events .Keep clean and stocked at all times.
