Able to perform routine custodial maintenance, cleaning, and grounds keeping in the Maintenance of Facilities Department, to include having the skill and ability to operate the tools and equipment associated with these functions. May work independently or as a part of a team in assigned work areas.
Supervision Received and Exercised
The Facilities Maintenance Custodian works under the immediate supervision of the COASTER/SPRINTER Managers and/or Shift Supervisors. They have no direct supervisory responsibility. Further, this position is expected to participate in the sharing of expert knowledge and as a vital member of various project teams that may be instituted.
Working Conditions
This position is required to work in all types of settings, including outdoors. The classification also works with various machinery and chemicals. Individuals in this position must be able to work safely to prevent on-the-job accidents and injuries, wear protective equipment including hearing protection, safety-toe boots, safety glasses and other Personal Protective Equipment items as assigned by NCTD. Job Position Description: 2nd Shift Custodial Job (11:00pm - 2:00am)
We are looking for a husband & wife team or 2 partners to create a cleaner and healthier environment for our customer's buildings and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be Assigned:
Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures
Cleaning duties include: sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash, windows and cleaning and moving furniture and equipment etc..
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
Use proper PPE where required
Opens and locks facilities, enable and disable security system as required.
1-2 years' experience as a custodian, janitor, housekeeper a plus but not required
Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus.
The ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced and in a multi-tasked job is a must.
Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time
Has respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
Must be able to communicate in English
