Additionally, the candidate must be able to make rounds in the SICU and telemetry floor, efficiently progressing the patient toward discharge. In addition to the operating room duties, the candidate must be proficient at removing chest tubes, pacing wires, providing wound care, general procedures utilizing local anesthesia, new consults and discharging patients completing discharge summaries. Experience with managing mechanical assist devices including durable LVAD, Impella and ECMO is desirable but not required.
