CHILD CARE AIDE Responsible To: Child Care Program Director Basic Function: Assists the director in providing a safe and quality environment for children in the Child Care Program. Performance Responsibilities: 1. Monitors children in small or large groups to ensure their safety. Follows procedures to safeguard the health and safety of children. 2. Assists the director in planning various activities for the children. 3. Assists with organizing materials. 4. Promotes positive parent and child interactions and activities. 5. Participate in staff activities and in special training programs. 6. Perform related duties as assigned. Knowledge of: * · Safe practices in program and playground activities. * · Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy. * · Basic record-keeping techniques. * · Health and safety regulations.
