Compensation for this position is $19-$27 per hour (~$39,000- $56,000 annually). Starting compensation will vary by qualifications and prior experience.
This role includes 22 paid days of scheduled breaks, 7 paid days of vacation, 3 paid days of personal time off, 7 paid days of sick (care) time, 10 paid holidays, and additional time off if required by applicable law. Must be working in a related field. The Teacher Assistant (TA) must earn at least four years of practical work experience in the field to be eligible to teach as a faculty member.
An associate's and/or bachelor's degree is preferred but not required when the TA begins participating in the mentorship program.
If the TA does not have the appropriate degree upon beginning the program, the TA must earn the degree to be eligible to teach as a faculty member.
The TA must complete training on campus two weeks before starting the mentorship program.
Must have strong technical skills, including all computer applications, internet research, database management, and analytical skills.
Experience with Canvas or related LMS usage for instruction (assignments, quizzes, discussion boards, gradebook, modules) is preferred.
