Essential Duties and Responsibilities The part-time teacher assistant is responsible to assist the teacher in the planning and execution of a developmentally appropriate program including the immediate coordination and overall operation of his/her classroom. This includes the planning and provision of a high-quality early childhood experience for pre-school children that meets all local, state, national federal laws and regulations for child care centers. The classroom aide has diverse responsibilities in support of a Head Start Center operation. These include general maintenance of food service areas, and assisting the center staff with classroom activities. This position is supervised by the Area Service Manager. Major Duties Responsible for the maintenance of all classrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms. Responsible for washing dishes and disposal of trash. Will assist the teacher with classroom activities and decorations of the classroom. Will be required to rotate to centers as the need arises. Will assist with outdoor activities, and supervision.
