WHAT YOU WILL DO Instruction & Intervention: Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and state early learning standards. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including play-based learning, visual supports, and assistive technology, to meet diverse student needs. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement and growth. Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Assessment & Documentation: Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Maintain accurate records, including progress reports, IEP documentation, and required assessments. Participate in IEP meetings to collaborate with families and the special education team on student goals and services. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavior therapists, and paraprofessionals to support student development. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates and strategies for home reinforcement. Compliance & Professional Development: Ensure compliance with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and state/federal special education regulations. Stay up to date on best practices in early childhood education and special education through professional development opportunities. Maintain a safe, positive, and structured learning environment. WHAT YOU WILL BRING Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education. Current Missouri teaching certification with an Early Childhood Special Education endorsement.
