What will you do?
Accurately classify, identify, package, and label hazardous waste for transport and disposal.
Process regulatory paperwork to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal protocols.
Assist with unpacking hazardous materials at our plant, as needed.
Sample container contents to determine proper handling.
Operate a 26-foot box truck.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Do you have what it takes?
A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience without a degree will also be considered.
Experience in lab packing and knowledge of (or interest in learning) hazardous waste classification is strongly preferred.
Ability to pass an OSHA/DOT physical exam, drug screening, and background check.
CDL-B license is strongly preferred
Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, kneel, crawl, lift, reach, push, and pull. Must be able to wear a full-face respirator.

The Project Chemist reports to and works under the direction of the Director of Polymer Research. Functioning with minimum supervision, the Project Chemist is responsible for effectively developing a wide variety of organic monomers, polymers and composite materials. This job requires an intimate knowledge of processing techniques, rheology characteristics, organic, inorganic, analytical and physical chemical principles and basic physics; and the ability to help correct problems by recommending options relative to the adjustments in chemistry, part design or processing equipment.
Main Duties:
• Performs projects and work assignments involved with developing new processes and performing causal analysis, complex synthesis and invention with minimum direct supervision. Reports on progress and difficulties encountered when requested.
• Development of new processes involves the identification and quantification of variables affecting the process, determination of methods applicable to Company objectives, and determination of economic benefits and trade-offs.
• Causal analysis involves the combination of knowledge regarding chemical reaction pathways and physical chemical relationships to determine if a process or scheme is feasible, or to make a judgment as to why an occurrence did or did not happen and how to harness the phenomenon in production.
• Complex synthesis involves the combination of chemical reaction sequences or property composition relationships to produce a new product.
• Invention is the development of new unpublished or unpatented methods or techniques and unknown chemical species.
Specific Job Functions:
• Synthesizes monomers and polymers at bench and pilot scale under a wide variety of organic and polymer preparative techniques. These will include bulk, emulsion and suspension polymerizations according to various mechanisms such as free radical, anionic, cationic, and charge transfer means.<
• Develops composite materials according to principles of material science with an emphasis on correlating physical properties with composition. The performance of this task will require application of a practical knowledge of molecular weight measurements, melt rheology, torque rheometry, extrusion and molding theory.
• Performs detailed interpretations of instrumental analysis of monomers, polymers, and composites prepared, using results of thermal analysis, FTIR, liquid chromatography, and gas chromatography as supplied by Analytical Services.
• Develops, through personal initiative, new concepts for monomers, polymers and composites for consideration by Management.
• Studies and researches technical literature related to job requirements.
• Submits research reports as required. Maintains research, production, and sample shipment records in accordance the laboratory standard record keeping procedures.
• Supervises and directs work of technicians assigned to assist Project Chemist with projects. Monitors and interprets results of tests and experiments carried out by technician in support of specified projects.
Experience and Qualifications:
Preferably 5+ years of experience in:
• Conducting and directing R&D work on phenolic resins
• Product and process development
• Supervising and directing technicians
• Extensive knowledge of phenolic resin chemistry, applications and processing techniques
• Comfortable with having direct customer contact/ interaction

Responsibilities
The Scientist - QC Laboratory Informatics role is responsible for supporting laboratory operations through ensuring that electronic laboratory systems function per intended purpose and use, specifically related to end user functionality and to system compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities will initially involve interacting with global and local IT support functions to populate master data, configure systems, and assist with installing and qualifying laboratory IT systems such as LabVantage LIMS, MODA, Empower, and other laboratory systems. The role will evolve into monitoring, execution and maintenance of the Laboratory IT Systems for the QC laboratory with an emphasis on continuous improvement and a focus on data integrity. This role will serve as business representative for laboratory IT systems and will be responsible for mentoring and educating peers on the use of laboratory systems and equipment, oversight for management reviews, laboratory metrics and laboratory documentation as well as supporting internal and external audits as a laboratory IT system subject matter expert.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
* Performs and/or supports the laboratory with the validation of laboratory equipment and software systems.
* Supports the establishment and maintenance of the validated state of software-based computerized systems in use within the laboratory.
* Leads and/or supports site deployment and upgrades of QC laboratory IT systems such as LabVantage LIMS, Empower, MODA.
* Ensures data integrity by design within the QC laboratory.
* Acts as QC laboratory data integrity local representative.
* Partners and builds relationships with Global Quality Laboratory Network, Global and Site IT team members.
* Acts as a contact SME for QC laboratory IT systems.
* Supports continuous improvement of quality systems as they relate to the QC laboratory.
* Applies knowledge of quality principles, cGMP, and laboratory systems towards the development and execution of local procedures, training courses, and practices.
* Assists in improvement of quality systems by creating or revising worksheets, developing or updating laboratory execution system documentation, updating laboratory methods, and maintaining other laboratory documentation systems.
* Supports audit and inspection activities for the laboratory.
* Implements and complies with corporate, site, and laboratory safety standards.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a computer science, life science, or applied science or other relevant field.
* IT systems experience (installation and qualification of laboratory IT systems, population of master data, and configuration of systems).
* Experience in a GMP laboratory.
* Minimum 3 years of demonstrated relevant experience.
Additional Skills/ Preferences
* Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office products, LIMS, Laboratory Execution Systems, chromatography systems, electronic laboratory notebook systems including implementation of systems.
* Experience operating or implementing laboratory IT systems including LIMS and Automated Lab Execution systems.
* Investigation and deviation management experience.
* Demonstrated proficiency in computer system validation.
* Experience with compliance requirements and regulatory expectations.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated through documentation and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated accuracy and proficiency in analytical skills.
* Ability to work in a laboratory environment including wearing appropriate PPE and other safety related equipment or considerations.
* Previous experience with cross-function leadership utilizing problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Additional Information
* Tasks may require repetitive motion and standing for long periods of time.
* 8-hour days - Monday through Friday
* May require support outside of regular schedule (weekend days or off-hours) in support of continuous (24/7) manufacturing operations.

Position Summary
Conduct all tests per methods and SOPs assigned to the Microbiology Laboratory. Maintain Microbiology Lab QC programs, equipment, and facility per schedule. Manage inventory levels in the Microbiology Lab. Responsibilities
Schedule and perform inter-laboratory and intra-laboratory test programs for the Microbiology Lab.
Maintain Microbiology Lab equipment and facility per schedule and SOPs in a timely manner with action taken as appropriate.
Perform Microbiology Lab QC program requirements in a timely and accurate manner with corrective action taken for non-compliant samples, results, or trends.
Monitor and maintain the inventory ordering system for the Lab.
Schedule and send routine samples to contract laboratories.
Cross-trained to cover Pathogen Lab duties every other weekend on a rotating basis and some holidays.
As the Microbiology Analyst working 1 week Monday - Friday; the next week 3 days in Microbiology and Saturday and Sunday in the Pathogen Lab.
Provide training, coverage, or assistance to other Lab Analysts as assigned.
Need to be able to work flexible first shift hours and days. Must be able to work a rotational schedule, alternating between week 1 (Monday - Friday) and week 2 (3 weekdays plus Saturday and Sunday).
Accepts special projects and completes them accurately and in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree in a related field with relevant experience
Experience or Training: Good problem-solving, time management and organizational skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. A high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
Technology/Equipment: Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related field.
Experience or Training: 2 years of experience in a food laboratory. Knowledge of GLPs.
