What you will do: * Perform flavor research and analysis functions as needed * Independently operate HPLC, GC-MS, and GC for food and flavor analysis samples, as needed * Develop and validate non-volatile HPLC methods for both beverage and food products * Initiate and develop projects and initiatives to improve Analytical Services with respect to workflow, instrumentation, methodology, lab resources and data management * Maintain and troubleshoot HPLC and GCMS systems * Proactively seek new, more efficient and accurate ways of conducting test procedures and practices to promote lab performance. * Maintain awareness of evolving trends in HPLC and GCMS * Leverage soft skills to thrive in a highly collaborative winning environment * Facilitate information sharing across groups to communicate analytical chemistry information to other groups within Sensient and to customers, as needed * Performs technical mentorship functions as needed * Ensures continuing technical and leadership development of staff * Assist in providing analytical perspective in budgeting process and be accountable for budget and results of team What you will bring: * Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry with 5+ years of experience in flavor analytical chemistry or related field * Or Master's Degree and 3+ years of experience or Ph.D. * Required experience with independently operating Agilent HPLC instrumentation 1200 series and Agilent OpenLab CDS Version 2 * Preferred experience with operating Agilent series GC and GCMS instrumentation and Agilent Mass Hunter and Chemstation processing software * Demonstrated experience developing and validating non-volatile HPLC methods for both beverage and food products What you'll get: * Opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues, onsite 5 days per week * An excellent salary, benefit offering and development opportunities * A thorough and effective training experience during onboarding and beyond This role pays a competitive starting salary of $75,000 - $95,000.
