ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this position successfully, employee must be able to perform each essential function and responsibility satisfactorily. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
* Cleans, cuts, prepares, and cooks meat, fish, poultry, and other menu items to a safe temperature.
* Prepare food items by baking, grilling, frying, sautéing, steaming, boiling, or other cooking methods.
* Prepare and cooks menu items according to menus requirements.
* Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
* Develops, compiles, and maintains food records regarding use and expenditures.
* Inventories supplies and equipment.
* Assist with food prep, inventory, and receiving deliveries
* Handle and store food ingredients.
* Ensure quality of food and freshness.
* Ensure the cleanliness and functional operation of equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas by routinely cleaning and inspecting each piece.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
This position requires a high school diploma. This position requires work experience and abilities in the following areas:
* Must be 18 years of age
* Must be able to work days, evenings and weekends as needed
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Basic understanding of food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.
* Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
* Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Must be able to work well under pressure.
* Ability to maintain personal cleanliness.
