JOB FUNCTION:

Follows the checking process to ensure corrections are made and the process is properly documented.
Provides guidance to Drafters to help reduce errors in the future.
Ensures CAD files are properly constructed and milestone dates are properly recorded.
Performs final checks on project files for proper construction and nomenclature before releasing projects.
Completes checking tasks on time per project requirements.
Review areas of concern with the Drafting Manager to develop procedures and improvements in the Drafting department.
Performs other job-related tasks as assigned by the Drafting Manager.
Works closely with cross-functional team members.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Associate degree or Certificate in Structural or Mechanical Drafting.
3+ years' work experience as a Structural or Mechanical Drafter.
3+ years' work experience checking other Drafters' work.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient with AutoCAD and Inventor.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in structural or mechanical drafting.
Demonstrated skills using mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry.

Summary

Some of the work you will do:
* Checks drawings for accuracy of dimensions, spelling, and consistency.

* Verifies that equipment can be built and installed safely.
