Summary: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the chaplain works under the supervision of the Clinical Manager and is responsible for providing spiritual support to patients and families consistent with the patient/family's wishes and belief system. The chaplain is responsible for implementing and coordinating the provision of spiritual support to patients and families in accordance with the hospice plan of care. Qualifications Qualifications: Graduate degree e.g.: Master's Divinity or Theology preferred or equivalent theological education. Minimum two years pastoral experience in a hospital or community ministry preferred. Certificate of Ordination preferred. Demonstrated ability to be open, flexible and ecumenical. Experience counseling patients and families who are dealing with terminal illness. Demonstrated understanding of hospice philosophy and principles. Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation, and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and in good working order. Bayada Hospice has an immediate opening for a Full Time Hospice Chaplain. This Hospice Chaplain position is for home visits in Windsor and Orange Counties in VT and Grafton County, NH. This individual will be a member of an experienced hospice care team that provides assessments, education and symptom management related to end of life care. Hospice / care experience preferred, along with experience making home visits.
