Within 12-24 months, we anticipate that this chaplain will become the primary behavioral health chaplain, with continued work on a med/surg unit. Experience in behavioral health chaplaincy preferred. Must have a strong baseline comfort with behavioral health settings and group facilitation, as well as clear aptitude for continued development in this area. This position provides comprehensive spiritual care to patients of all ages and their families. Services include but are not limited to, individual patient/resident support related to spiritual matters, family support, and prayer as well as employee support. Provide support to patients and families facing grief and end of life issues, to include assisting with decision making and Advanced Care Planning. Lead religious ceremonies of worship, rituals and other spiritual care programs as directed. Documents care and counseling provided and participates in meetings and educational programs.
