Perform necessary coordination and delegation of clinical and managerial activities for senior housing clients as directed, in order to accomplish the objective of quality client care. Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).

4. Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications. Attend yearly trainings/reviews including diabetes review, medication administration, Diastat/seizure training, and Epi-pen training. Duties also include attending scheduled Health Services meetings.
5. Maintain immunization records per state immunization requirements, send out immunization warning and exclusion letters as needed, contact parents as needed, monitor immunizations in process, and use the state immunization data base for state compliance.
6. Organize and complete mass vision and hearing screenings on students as required by the state, and complete all vision and hearing rescreens including new students to the district, students with IEPs and students referred by staff. Enter in all screening results into computerized information system, send out vision and hearing referrals and complete follow-ups on referral tracking form, and communicate with the district RN and student outreach program for appropriate resources.
7. Job Summary:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient assessment and diagnosis, formulates treatment plans, prescribes medications, orders laboratory tests, and provides patient education, while maintaining safety standards and delivering consistent quality patient care.
Education and Experience:
Masters of Science in Nursing, or PA certificate of added qualification with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis, from an accredited college or university.
Must be licensed in the state of Colorado as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA-C and registered with DORA.
Strong clinical background in psychiatry.
Must have 2+ years PMHNP or psych-added qualification PA experience, residential and detox experience preferred.
BLS certification required.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide direct client care via psychiatric health services, education, counseling, and emotional support with compassion.
Order appropriate diagnostics, including bloodwork to monitor psychotropic medication levels.
Diagnose conditions.
Prescribe treatments, including medication.
Educate clients and their families.
Consult physicians as appropriate.
Ensure that all client care is delivered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Maintain documentation of services including service plans, progress notes, medication informed consent, treatment plan reviews, and other required information.
Collaborate with Medical Providers, Director of Operations, and Clinical Director to create and implement standard-of-care guidelines.
Complete detox admission/discharge summary and RTC/PHP discharge summary as indicated by level of care.
Ensure compliance with JCAHO, local, state, and federal policies and regulations, including accurate recordkeeping.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working/typing on a computer.
Climbing stairs, walking, bending, reaching, sitting, standing, using hands, see, talk, hear.
Exposure to a medical and clinical environment.
