Job Summary:
A Hospice Aide provides compassionate, hands-on personal care and support to terminally ill patients and their families in homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice centers. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Hospice Aide assists with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients in their final stages.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, and skin care.
Assist with mobility needs such as repositioning, transfers, and walking assistance.
Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition to the RN or healthcare team.
Support nutritional needs by assisting with feeding and meal preparation as needed.
Provide emotional and social support to patients and their families.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the patient.
Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to patient care.
