More information about us can be found below or on our website at ***************** ABOUT THE POSITION Equipment Mechanics / Shop Service Techs function as part of the Service team and are responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of material handling and construction equipment. In this role you will: * Troubleshoot and Repair a variety of equipment at the local branch to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards. * Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates. * Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision, to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. The normal auto hazards will apply. * will be frequently working on equipment with potential hazards where appropriate safety equipment and practices are required. * must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds. * requires standing, walking, twisting, climbing, and crawling. * requires bending, stooping, kneeling or squatting handling/fingering on a daily basis. * must be able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes. * must be medically capable of performing all aspects of the job with the maximum amount of safety.
