Prior to joining HomeBridge, Mr. Norden served as CEO and president of Opteum Financial Services, Inc. (OFS), which he founded in 1999. During his six-year tenure, Mr. Norden grew OFS’s mortgage origination and servicing business into a national platform with operating licenses in 47 states and originations in excess of $8 billion per annum. In 2005, he sold OFS to Bimini Capital Management (formerly Opteum, Inc.) but stayed on as executive vice president for two more years. In the 1990s, Mr. Norden acquired Olde Towne Mortgage Company, later renamed First Town Mortgage Corporation, where he served as president and CEO until the company’s sale to Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation. Peter Norden sits on the board of directors for the Mortgage Bankers Association and serves on the Fannie Mae Customer Advisory Board. His previous service includes stints on the Fannie Mae CEO Advisory Board, the FHLMC Advisory Board and the GMAC/RFC National Advisory Board.
