ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
REGISTER OPERATIONS (typically 70% or more of role)
Operates cash register by scanning all merchandise, engaging the customer through suggestive selling, proper tendering of each transaction, and thanking the customer for shopping at GLA.
Processes refunds and/or issues in store merchandise credit to customers for returned merchandise.
Uses loss prevention techniques to reduce shortages and prevent shoplifting.
Follows GLA policies and procedures for all transactions. Engages the customer to ensure they are receiving all the benefits of being an Ace Rewards member and actively seeking participation from them.
Maintains familiarity with all ads, rebates and special pricing; reports pricing errors to management.
Answers telephones and refers all calls to proper department through the use of the paging system and two way radios.
SALES FLOOR (typically 30% or less of role)
Greets all customers and assists in answering questions about merchandise; uses The S.A.L.E.S. process to help customers find everything on their lists.
Aid customers in locating merchandising in store, on acehardware.com, as well as, processing special orders.
Displays, stocks and maintains merchandise on end caps, shelves, counters or tables following company planogram, building displays when necessary to attract customers and promote sales within specified guidelines by your management team.
Assists with color matching and mixing paint.
Collect carts; carry merchandise out to customer cars if needed.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Assists and/or makes recommendations to customers in the service areas within the store including, but not limited to; chain, rope, key, and glass cutting, screen repair, and knife sharpening.
Follows the nightly maintenance checklist to ensure proper store recovery and cleanliness of assigned work areas.
Refers customer complaints to proper person for resolution.
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required along with the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.

About the Role

Inventory receiving and management: Accurately receive and stock inventory, ensuring all products are accounted for and safeguarded against loss or theft. Monitor product quality and freshness and ensure proper product rotation. Follow all HACCP, food-handling and spoilage management processes.
Pick, pack and sort: Use technology similar to smartphone devices to scan packages, pick and stage orders, and conduct handoffs to Dashers.
Delight customers: Communicate clearly and pleasantly with customers through the app when substitution approvals are needed.
Warehouse organization and safety: Maintain a safe working environment by performing all duties in compliance with DashMart safety and security standards. Complete all cleaning and warehouse organization tasks as assigned by management.

In this Role:
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and always promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort's Four Diamond Standards.
Safeguard the assets of Gun Lake Casino Resort.
Follow all procedures and policies to ensure that cash handling is performed within accepted standards established by Casino Management, Accounting, and regulatory requirements.
Attend to external and internal guest needs and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Issue credit to guests in accordance with established Gun Lake Casino Resort credit policy.
Responsible for the final balancing of funds and assets assigned during a shift.
Responsible for ensuring that all tasks are completed as required as determined by the Cage stations assigned during a shift.
Accurately record transactions related to Title 31 compliance.
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort's “Unsurpassed Service” standards at all times.
Other job-related duties as assigned by the Cage Manager, Cage Shift Manager, and/or Assistant Shift Supervisor.
Essential Qualifications:
Must be 21+ years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent
One (1) year cash handling experience is required, preferably in a banking and/or retail environment.
Prefer a minimum of one (1) year of experience using basic computer skills in a workplace environment.
Microsoft Excel experience preferred.
Three (3) years providing guest service preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in both written and oral form within the required standards and tasks involved in providing “Unsurpassed Service”.
Ability to gain a basic understanding of gaming and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Title 31 compliance and reporting.
Ability to learn to use all Cage-related equipment such as coin sorters, currency counters, and personal computers.
Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays as business demands.
Thorough math and reading skills.
Must be able to obtain a gaming license from the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission.
Physical Requirements:
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. Ability to deal with moderate levels of stress.
Ability to lift boxes or bags of coins weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time up to three (3) hours in length.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an area that may be unusually warm, cold, and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a non-sitting position. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage. There will be continuous contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
