What is a cart attendant and how to become one

Cart attendants are hired in retail stores to handle customer service and janitorial tasks. They retrieve and maintain shopping carts from parking lot cart stalls. They clean them and return them to the front of the store for use. Besides that, they help guests carry out items ranging from grocery bags to heavy parcels. Furthermore, they pick up and remove any garbage around the store's entrances and clean up any spills that may occur throughout the store. Other duties may include helping with cashiering, stocking shelves, and cleaning the guest bathrooms.

Being an entry-level position, all that is required is a high school diploma or its equivalent. Employers may provide on-the-job training once hired. You must be physically fit, detail-oriented, a problem solver, and a good communicator. Cart attendants make an average salary of $25,831 per year. This varies between $17,000 and $38,000.
