Position Description:
This position constructs and repairs building frameworks as well as structures. Essential Duties:

Within the 6th to 12th-month mark and ongoing:
Start running small projects by overseeing sub-trades and carpenters, and is willing whenever needed to jump in and do the work

License/Certification/Tests:
Valid Driver's License
Must pass a company physical, which may include a drug test
Have own tools
Experience:
Prefer three (3) years' experience in doors and associated wood product installation or carpentry for new and remodeled homes.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Understanding of job layout and setup technique.
Ability to cut and shape material to prescribed measurements using hand and power tools.
Ability to make accurate arithmetic calculations and measurements.
Must be familiar with the application of all door and other wood installation and their various forms and functions.
Knowledge of the standard practices and methods in the carpentry trade.
Able to use accurately the following tools to complete the work of an Installer:
Level (Supplied by Employee)
Hammer (Supplies by Employee)
Hack Saw (Supplied by Employee)
Carpenters belt with all tools (Supplied by Employee)
Tape Measure (Supplied by Employee)
Electric Shears
Staple Gun
Miter Box
Hand Miter
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to have the use of both hands and feet.
Walking, bending and ability to climb on and around construction structures and negotiate difficult crevices associated with construction sites.
Does not have physical problems with back and knees.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
Mental Requirements:
Mathematics: Basic math skills for calculations and measurements.
Language: Ability to communicate in English with employees, management, and customers.
Work Environment:
Construction site environment being exposed to loud noise, dust, extreme heat, cold conditions, and moving equipment.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Installers reports directly to the Site Foreman. In the absence of the Site-Foreman will report to the Field Superintendent.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
To be on-time to the home site and ready to work daily at 7:00am.
Accurately fill out time card.
To complete the Installation in a neat and conscientious manner.
Perform carpentry work of quality level consistent with HSD standards.
To maintain a productive working relationship with Builders and Builder Supers.
Ensure proper clean-up of job sites daily and at project completion and proper disposal of unused material.
To adhere to completion deadlines for assigned jobs. Communicate completion delays to the Foreman.
Review plans and specifications for assigned jobs with the Foreman and/or Field Superintendent to ensure understanding.
To complete all jobs assigned by the company in a quality manner and according to customer specifications.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Field Superintendent.
