Required Qualifications Must have 3+ years working as a carpenter or civil journeyman in an industrial plant. Must be able to read blueprints, plans, and drawings proficiently to perform duties. Must have knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques and form construction. Must be able to compute basic arithmetic functions, measure, mark, and cut equipment and materials to specification. Must be able to work full work schedule and any additional overtime as needed. Must be willing to assist other crafts and perform additional job duties while not performing primary craft duties. Must be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations. Assembles scaffold containing handrails, mid rails, braces and planks, toe boards, screening, locking pins and wheels to job specifications. Loads, transports and unloads material. Determines type of scaffold needed and how to properly instruct on how to install. Oversight of transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold as instructed by the scaffold builder. Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure. Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material. Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability. Supervises the dismantling of scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so. Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling. Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding. Other duties as assigned.
