    COMMUNICATION REGARDING TEST INFORMATION WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL & TEXT PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK Positions so classified perform carpentry work at the journeyman level. Work involves construction, maintenance and repair of structural, as well as other woodwork in accordance with standard practices of the trade. Assignments may be oral or written and may be accompanied by sketches or blueprint. Work is performed under the general direction of a Carpenter II or a foreman, though the incumbent may be expected to independently perform tasks appropriate to their level of knowledge and ability. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent, and experience as a carpenter in the general repair or maintenance of buildings, completion of a carpentry apprenticeship, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS Valid driver's license required to apply. Valid Louisiana Driver's license required prior to appointment.
