    Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Carpenter to work in our Carpenter Maintenance department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Central Facilities 45 miles west of Idaho Falls with every Friday off. Responsibilities: * Fabricate and install new and replacement wood structures such as boxes, frames, supports, platforms and scaffolding, cabinets, plastic, and Formica. * Construct, design, and modify structures and components. * Erect elevated work platforms and scaffolding. * Repair existing facilities and components. * Perform preventive maintenance as directed by policy and procedure. * Perform all types of carpentry construction and repair work. * Perform the layout, fabrication and installation of metal and wood concrete forms. * Perform concrete finishing. * Perform core drilling. * Repair door latches, locks, and closures. * Perform all types of floors and ceiling tile installation and repair. Perform minor carpet repairs. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents. * Participate in training/retraining program required by BEA requirements. Attend training such as radiation worker, confined space entry, asbestos abatement, respirator, etc., as required by management for the completion of related work activities. Maintain all training and qualifications (Individual Training Plan and Job Function Requirements). * Direct the conduct of work in accordance with procedures and/or direction from the Fabrication Supervisor. * Other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Journeyman level Carpenter. * Valid state of Idaho driver's license for duration of employment. * This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Job Information: * The pay for this position is $42.80/hr. (Rate can vary based upon individual work location, clearances, and qualifications.
